Steelcase Health Provides Healthcare Solutions Through Expanded West Elm Collaboration and New ModuForm Partnership - Steelcase
The combined expertise of Steelcase and West Elm has created inspiring spaces that accommodate patients, families and clinicians. The West Elm Health Collection by Steelcase Health offers a selection of iconic workplace furniture modified specifically for healthcare environments. The high-quality products are created to hold up to the rigors of healthcare spaces while feeling welcoming and inviting with clinically appropriate features such as an appropriate recline, metal legs, crumb sweep and health-appropriate, high-performance fabrics.
The collection includes Slope, Sterling, Mesa and Lucas, various seating products that will add a welcoming aesthetic to many healthcare applications such as lobbies, reception areas, waiting spaces, transition spaces, cafes, clinician respite, physician offices, consultation, outpatient centers and virtual care spaces.
The West Elm Health Collection by Steelcase builds on the successful contract partnership announced in 2018, which joined West Elm’s original, modern design expertise with Steelcase’s industry leading performance and dealer network to support the changing preferences for people at work.
Additionally, as the prevalence of behavioral health conditions increases, health systems are integrating this care across service lines. Steelcase Health researchers worked with ModuForm to offer these products to customers to create safe and welcoming behavioral health spaces for inpatient, outpatient, residential and emergency department patients.
Focused on manufacturing a wide array of furnishings that reflect a level of compassion and vigilance for patient and clinician welfare, dozens of ModuForm solutions are available in a variety of styles to promote recovery-oriented, safe and inviting spaces that support socialization — from foam filled, soft, puncture, fluid and ligature resistant vinyl to finely-tailored fabric covered in welcoming upholstery.
“Beyond the COVID-19 virus, the pandemic has highlighted several other health needs that can no longer go unaddressed,” said Nate Chandler, General Manager of Steelcase Health. “Steelcase Health is proud to expand its relationship with West Elm and build a new one with ModuForm, so together we can provide the products health organizations require to provide safe, comfortable, and effective environments for patients, families, and clinical staffs”
