Allsteel announces move to Fulton Market

In response to the industry’s growing need for a solution provider as a resource for space-planning inspiration ideas, versatile product selection and a genuine brand connection, Allsteel is excited to announce the creation of a new destination experience-based showroom in Chicago’s Fulton Market. Debuting in the first quarter of 2023, Allsteel will be relocating from their current space in the Merchandise Mart and moving into a new 24,000 sq. ft. showroom in the heart of Chicago - one of the largest growing markets for Allsteel and the HNI family of brands.

“This is a great opportunity to create a future-forward branded environment, focusing on designing an active floorspace and creating amenities that support a truly memorable client experience,” explains Adam Ames, Vice President of Customer Engagement. “With this move, we will transition from a display space to an interactive destination focused on community and inspiring creativity. We look forward to welcoming influencers in the design community, CRE industry, our customers, and our local Chicago ‘neighbors’ when the space is ready.”

Driven by research and grounded by data, the new space will be designed in conjunction with Chicago-based Architecture firm, Partners by Design (PBD). “We are truly humbled to be partnering with Allsteel & CBRE on this endeavor,” explains Tom Rowland, Managing Principal at PBD. “Allsteel’s relocation to Fulton Market is an exciting and pivotal moment in crafting a new chapter in their evolution as an organization. PBD is eager to help redefine their ‘showroom experience’ to create a space that supports the brand’s vision; blending cultural, societal, wellness, and technological integrations to create a new, dynamic, experiential space that will become a destination within Fulton Market.”

“Allsteel’s relocation to 345 N. Morgan Street is a milestone that further solidifies the Fulton Market neighborhood as a destination for commercial furniture brands,” explains Heidi McClenahan, a Senior Director for CBRE Project Management in Chicago. "As a real estate advisor, this experience of creating a showroom that best represents the brand strength of Allsteel and HNI further supports the showroom of the future."

“345 N. Morgan is the perfect home for a leading furnishings manufacturer like Allsteel,” says Andy Gloor, CEO of Sterling Bay, Chicago's premier real estate development firm. "The building’s modern industrial character and proximity to global innovators will create an inspiring and energizing environment for both company employees and clients alike.”
