Bruce Mau to Deliver Keynote at NeoCon & Celebrate Chicago Release of Name-Sake Documentary

What: The team at Massive Change Network (MCN) is proud to announce that on June 14th, design visionary Bruce Mau will be delivering a Keynote for NeoCon 2022, the leading trade show for the commercial interior design industry. Presented by the American Society of Interior Designers, Mau’s address will cover his approach across his thirty years of design innovation and collaboration with global brands and companies, leading organizations, heads of state, renowned artists, and legendary architects and designers. Mau hopes to inspire attendees with his belief that life-centered design offers a clear path toward identifying the full context of our problems and developing innovative, sustainable, and holistic solutions.

He will also be celebrating the Chicago release of the feature-length documentary MAU at the Gene Siskel Film Center, Chicago’s premier art house cinema in the heart of the theater district, and a public program of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). As one of only a handful of nationally distributed films on design, the team behind the film is thrilled to share their picture with the Chicago community after successful theatrical openings this past May in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. In honor of NeoCon and this particular moment, the Siskel Film Center and MAU film team are excited to host a special showing on the day of the Keynote, followed by a live Q&A with Mau

Tickets for the Keynote are now SOLD OUT. Tickets for the special screening are available for purchase online at siskelfilmcenter.org.

Trailer)
In association with THOUGHT ENGINE and presented by Greenwich Entertainment, the BABKA production is a playful portrait that explores the life of Mau, from his creative journey to his ever-optimistic push to tackle the world’s biggest challenges — from branding to urban expansion — with transformational design. Throughout his career, the creative dark horse has completed the transformation from world-class graphic designer to a designer of the world - from advising global brands like Coca Cola and Disney to rethinking a 1000-year plan for Mecca, Islam’s holiest site; from working with the greatest living architects (Rem Koolhaas & Frank Gehry) on books and museums to rebranding nations such as Guatemala and Denmark.
